Our mission is to maximize the recovery, resilience and wellness of all eligible Alameda County residents who are developing or experiencing serious mental health, alcohol or drug concerns. We envision communities where all individuals and their families can successfully realize their potential and pursue their dreams, and where stigma and discrimination against those with mental health and/or alcohol and drug issues are remnants of the past.
Mental Health Support Ages 0-24
Alameda County Behavioral Health Adult and Older Adult System of Care serves adults between the ages of 18 and 59 years; and older adults aged 60+ whose serious mental illness or co-occurring illnesses seriously impacts his/her/their day-to-day activities of daily living. We serve Individuals who are Medi-Cal recipients, Medi-Cal eligible, Medi-Cal/Medicare recipients (Medi-Medi), HealthPAC recipients, and uninsured individuals.
Mental Health Support Ages 18 and Older
The Child and Young Adult System of Care (CYASOC) provides mental health services to children, youth and young adults ages 0-24 years old. The CYASOC provides Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment services to individuals and families who have full scope Medi-Cal and are in need of support from a behavioral health perspective. It is important to our system of care that individuals and families not only feel welcomed, but also experience services that are empowering; culturally, ethnically, and linguistically responsive; and focus on wellness and resiliency.
Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services is proud to offer high quality treatment and prevention services for residents seeking recovery from drug and alcohol addictions. We offer the largest network of substance use treatment in Alameda County, with programs designed to meet an individual’s specific needs and circumstances. We value all of our beneficiaries and strive to provide quality services that support the ethnic, cultural, and linguistic differences that represent the rich diversity of the Bay Area
Underserved Ethnic and Language Populations (UELP)
Alameda County Behavioral Health created the Underserved Ethnic and Language Populations Programs (UELPs) to offer culturally appropriate and linguistically accessible services to Alameda County residents that are underserved and unserved by the mental health system. These services help and support individuals and their families who are experiencing emotional wellness challenges.
