San Mateo County Human Services Agency (HSA)

The Human Services Agency’s mission is to enhance the well-being of children, adults, and families by providing professional, responsive, caring, and supportive services.   We achieve this mission through the work of our dedicated staff, partnerships with community-based organizations, and the ongoing support of the Board of Supervisors and County Executive.

We offer a wide range of services designed to assist individuals and families achieve economic self-sufficiency, collaborate with other agencies to strengthen our communities, and ensure child safety and well-being.  Our primary goal is to provide you with a positive client experience through timely, accurate, and caring services.
