County of Santa Clara Social Services Agency
The County of Santa Clara Social Service Agency (SSA) provides basic safety net services to at risk children, families and adults. SSA puts together and provides services through its four major branches. They include the Agency Office, Department of Aging and Adult Services, Department of Employment and Benefit Services, and the Department of Family and Children's Services.
SSA provides a wide range of services for the County's diverse people that live in the county. These include child welfare and keeping them safe from harm and bringing family back together. We also have short notice/ short term shelter that can be set up. Care for seniors by keeping them safe or help them with daily living issues. SSA also has job training, youth outreach, and food programs.
For those that need to talk about problems, counselors are here to help. If violence is a part of the problems faced, SSA can help as well, in the short or long term.
County of Santa Clara Social Services Agency's mission is to provide resources and opportunities in a culturally responsive manner to enhance the quality of life in our community by protecting, educating, and empowering individuals and families. Our vision is to serve, empower, and transform.
