Alameda County Social Services Agency
The County of Alameda Social Services Agency (SSA) provides basic safety net services to at risk children, families, and adults. SSA provides services through its administration and operating departments - Adult and Aging Services, Children and Family Services, and Workforce and Benefits Administration. SSA administers Public Safety Net Benefit Programs to include CalWORKS, CalFRESH, MediCal, Refugee Cash Assistance, General Assistance, domestic violence resources, employment and job training supportive services/referrals, and emergency shelter service. Seat of the County Refugee Coordinator.
Alameda County Family Justice Center
Alameda County Family Justice Center consists of over 30 onsite and over 50 offsite agencies and programs that provide services to support individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault and exploitation, child abuse, elder and dependent adult abuse, and stalking. Our mission is to ensure the safety, healing, and self-empowerment of victims.
Asian Community Wellness Program – North Alameda County (Korean Community Center of the East Bay)
Asian Community Wellness Program (ACWP) provides mental health wellness outreach, awareness, education, consultation, stigma reduction, counseling services, and case management support to East Asians (Chinese, Mongolian, Korean, Japanese), and other Asian and Pacific Islanders (API) community members in North Alameda County. In addition, ACWP provides culturally responsive and trauma-informed services and access to community resources without insurance requirements.
Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach (API Legal Outreach)
Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach (API Legal Outreach) is a non-profit promoting the development, empowerment, and self-reliance of the community through providing culturally competent legal, social, and educational services. API Legal Outreach's mission is to provide culturally competent and linguistically appropriate legal representation, social services, and advocacy for the most marginalized segments of the community including low-income women, seniors, recent immigrants, and youth.
