Sidra Community Wellness (Diversity in Health Training Institute)
Sidra promotes healing, wellness, and mental health among Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) communities in Alameda County. Sidra offers preventive counseling, support groups, psychoeducational, educational, and cultural workshops, community events, outreach and promotion, and referrals and linkages to support wellness and mental health. Sidra also offers mental health consultations to local organizations, providers, and community leaders about how to support wellness and mental health issues while building the program’s capacity to provide these services in a culturally responsive way for MENA communities. Sidra's services are school- and community-based, with current school-based services at the following schools: Oakland International High School, West Oakland Middle School, KIPP Bridge Academy (Oakland), KIPP King Collegiate (San Lorenzo), and Walters Middle School (Fremont), with "as needed" services provided to Hayward Unified School District. 
Priority Population Served: Middle Eastern & North African (MENA) Communities in Alameda County. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals from: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. We also serve Dari-speakers from Afghanistan.
