Language Access

Afghan Coalition is an Ethnic Community-Based Organization led by Afghans that provides a variety of different services to the community.

African Communities Program addresses the psychosocial impacts of trauma among international survivors of human rights abuses through culturally aware, trauma-informed, and linguistically accessible mental health care, outreach, professional training, and policy advocacy.

CHCN health centers are based in Alameda County, California, and have extended services to surrounding counties. The eight CHCN health centers which make up the Network, currently serve more than 130,000 people at more than 94 sites of care. Many of the health centers also provide mental health, dental and preventive health programs.

Asian Community Wellness Program (ACWP) provides mental health wellness outreach, awareness, education, consultation, stigma reduction, counseling services, and case management support to East Asians (Chinese, Mongolian, Korean, Japanese), and other Asian and Pacific Islanders (API) community members in North Alameda County. In addition, ACWP provides culturally responsive and trauma-informed services and access to community resources without insurance requirements.

The Asian Pacific Islander Community Collaborative (APICC) is a collection of over 30 Asian and Asian Pacific Islander (API) community-based organizations that provide services to the 5th Supervisorial District; it was established in December 2002 by Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson. APICC advocates for and promotes linguistically and culturally accessible County services for Asian and Asian Pacific Islander Americans. Our focus is on language access, employment, and social services issues, and we will work with community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, and businesses that serve API communities.

Asian Resource Network connects Bay Area families in need with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) service providers.

Burma Refugee Families & Newcomers (BRFN) supports and empowers refugees of all ethnic groups from Burma and other countries resettling in the wider San Francisco Bay Area. BRFN provides and advocates for culturally and linguistically appropriate social support services, such as language training, social welfare, education, physical and mental healthcare, employment, housing, and cultural bridging and preservation.

DeafHope focuses on ending domestic and sexual violence in Deaf communities. We welcome refugees who are Deaf that are resettling in the Bay Area.

East Bay Sanctuary Covenant provides legal, social, and advocacy programs that address the many challenges that immigrants face. Together, we help to create a pathway to citizenship and more compassionate immigration policies.

El Tímpano—Spanish for “eardrum”—informs, engages, and amplifies the voices of Latino and Mayan immigrants of Oakland and the wider Bay Area.

Filipino Community Health & Wellness ensures that the Filipino community, particularly youth and young adults, caregivers, and immigrants in central and southern Alameda County have access to psycho-social and case management support to serve their needs as well as ensure additional culturally and linguistically sensitive preventative counseling and mental health referral support services.

Homeless Action Center provides high-quality public benefits advocacy for free to unhoused and disabled residents of Alameda County.
