At Vietnamese American Community Center of the East Bay (VACCEB), our mission is to address the needs of refugees and immigrants within hard-to-reach & underrepresented communities. We achieve this through a variety of educational, cultural, and social services that promote economic self-sufficiency and assimilation into American society.

Programs & Services

  • Food Security: Through our Mobile Meal Program, we deliver more than 30,000 nutritious meals per month to over 2,000 low-income immigrant and refugee families in the East Bay, ensuring their food security while considering their cultural preferences.

  • Employment Services: We provide comprehensive employment and unemployment support, including resume building, application assistance, mock interviews, and job placement through our extensive network of over 100 employment partners.

  • ESL, Digital Literacy, & Citizenship Classes: We offer educational classes to over 200 adult students annually, including ESL classes at various levels, digital literacy training with laptops and tablets, and preparation for naturalization interviews.

  • Information, Assistance, & Case Management: Our services extend to over 3,000 service units each year, assisting with public benefits enrollment, legal issues, and applications, backed by interpretation and translation in various languages, including Vietnamese, Chinese, and Spanish.

  • Senior Social Activities / Health & Wellness: We combat social isolation among seniors through online activities such as karaoke and bingo, along with informational workshops on nutrition and health topics, as well as annual health fairs.

Impact

Annually, VACCEB serves more than 6,000 individuals, delivering over 350,000 units of service. We have proudly been a trusted resource for information and essential services in the East Bay for over two decades.

We believe that a partnership between our organizations could amplify the positive impact we have on our community. If you have any referrals or insights that could enhance our services, we would greatly appreciate your input. Moreover, we are interested in exploring the possibility of a meeting to discuss how our organizations can collaborate effectively.
