Language Access

La Familia is a community outreach nonprofit in the greater Bay Area, California. We provide services throughout Alameda and Contra Costa and Stanislaus counties, with a comprehensive selection of programs to meet a variety of mental health and community support needs.

Legal Aid at Work’s Workers’ Rights Clinic provides low-income and unemployed people with free, confidential information about their legal rights related to work in California including wage protection, working conditions, and unemployment benefits. They provide services in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, and other languages.

Maitri is a free, confidential, nonprofit organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area that primarily helps families and individuals from South Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives) facing domestic violence, emotional abuse, cultural alienation, or family conflict.

In recognizing the need for cultural and language specific mental health services in the Bay Area and the lack of multi-lingual speaking counselors, we created the Multi-lingual Counseling Center to serve the needs of our growing multi-lingual community. Our mission is to provide mental health services and treatment to individuals suffering from different mental health symptoms such as depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD and all other mental health diagnosis.

Pacific Center for Human Growth is the oldest LGBTQIA+ center in the Bay Area, the third oldest in the nation, and operates the only sliding scale mental health clinic for LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC people and their families in Alameda County.

Provides culturally aware, trauma-informed and linguistically accessible mental health care for international survivors of human rights abuses from all cultural, ethnic and linguistic groups residing throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Sidra Community Wellness provides culturally sensitive prevention and early intervention mental health services for Middle Eastern and North African communities in Alameda County. Sidra offers preventive counseling, support groups, psychoeducational, educational, and cultural workshops, community events, outreach and promotion, and referrals and linkages to support wellness and mental health. Sidra also offers mental health consultations to local organizations, providers, and community leaders about how to support wellness and mental health issues while building the program’s capacity to provide these services in a culturally responsive way for MENA communities. Services are school- and community-based.

Offers a holistic array of culturally-sensitive bilingual services that support the mental health and well-being of refugee and immigrant clients who have multiple layers of complex needs.

Provides free psychosocial and psychological support to adult survivors of persecution and torture who reside in San Francisco.

An Afghan-American-led organization that aids in the resettlement of newcomer migrants in Northern California.

The Unity Council is a non-profit Social Equity Development Corporation with over 50 years of history in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland. Our mission is to promote social equity and improve quality of life by building vibrant communities where everyone can work, learn, and thrive.
