Health Care

CHCN health centers are based in Alameda County, California, and have extended services to surrounding counties. The eight CHCN health centers which make up the Network, currently serve more than 130,000 people at more than 94 sites of care. Many of the health centers also provide mental health, dental and preventive health programs.

Asian Health Services provides health, social, and advocacy services for all regardless of income, insurance status, immigration status, language, or culture. Our approach to wellbeing focuses on “whole patient health,” which is why we provide more than primary care services, including mental health, case management, nutrition, and dental care to more than 50,000 patients in English and 14 languages: Korean, ASL, Lao, Burmese, Mandarin, Cantonese, French, Mien, Karen, Mongolian, Karenni, Tagalog, Khmer, and Vietnamese. We offer medical, dental, and mental health services for all ages.

Brighter Beginnings provides social and medical services to low-income families in the East Bay.

Formed in 1994, the California Primary Care Association (CPCA) is the statewide leader and recognized voice representing the interests of California’s community health centers (CHCs) and their patients. CPCA represents more than 1,250 not-for-profit CHCs and Regional Clinic Associations who provide comprehensive, quality healthcare services, particularly for low-income, uninsured, and underserved Californians who might otherwise not have access to health care.

AACI’s Center for Survivors of Torture (CST) program provides specialized services for survivors of torture and their family members, as well as newly arrived refugees, including individual and group psychotherapy, psychiatry, psychological and medical evaluations for political asylum cases, medical, social, and legal services

Contra Costa CARES is a healthcare program for uninsured adults living in Contra Costa County.

EBAYC builds strategic partnerships with schools, city and county governments, and community organizations, and establishes trusting relationships with families to provide seamless services to support youth. Our diverse menu of services include youth violence prevention, expanded learning, and civic and community engagement.

This resource was created and is maintained by a coalition of healthcare providers in the Bay Area to support healthcare professionals working with immigrant families. Our goal is to provide an accurate, up to date and easily navigable source of information on immigration policy, its effects on health, and best practices for those working in healthcare.

The Health Program of Alameda County, also known as HealthPAC (and formerly known as CMSP or ACE), is a County program that provides affordable health care to uninsured people living in Alameda County.

ICNA Relief USA seeks to alleviate human suffering by providing caring and compassionate service to victims of adversities and survivors of disasters. ICNA Relief USA strives to build healthy communities, strengthen families and create opportunities for those in despair while maintaining their dignity.

La Clínica provides multi-lingual, accessible full-scope health care services in the East Bay, no matter a patient’s income level or insurance status.

Newly arrived refugees are eligible for a free Refugee Health Assessment, which is a medical exam focused on preventing, screening, and treating communicable diseases and provides linkage to primary care.

Pacific Center for Human Growth is the oldest LGBTQIA+ center in the Bay Area, the third oldest in the nation, and operates the only sliding scale mental health clinic for LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC people and their families in Alameda County.

ReproNet aims to build a trusted partnership between refugee women and organizations, academics, and community members. These partnerships will together work to create a schema that focuses on patient-driven research and reflects the SRH priorities set by refugee women.
