Sidra Community Wellness (Diversity in Health Training Institute)
Sidra Community Wellness provides culturally sensitive prevention and early intervention mental health services for Middle Eastern and North African communities in Alameda County. Sidra offers preventive counseling, support groups, psychoeducational, educational, and cultural workshops, community events, outreach and promotion, and referrals and linkages to support wellness and mental health. Sidra also offers mental health consultations to local organizations, providers, and community leaders about how to support wellness and mental health issues while building the program’s capacity to provide these services in a culturally responsive way for MENA communities. Services are school- and community-based.
