The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Housing and Homelessness Division (HHD) is responsible for development and oversight of statewide housing programs funded by the CDSS. 

A program of Bay Area Community Services, Housing First agency believes that finding housing is the first priority to improving quality of life. Once people have their basic necessities (food & shelter) taken care of, then we can address behavioral & physical health issues, substance use, employment, and more. Every individual BACS serves will receive whatever they need to become stable and have reliable housing.

This program provides highly reduced fees for internet services as well as the opportunity to purchase one computer for low cost ($149.99) upon initial enrollment.

Jubilee Immigration Advocates is a nonprofit that provides free and low bono immigration services, including legal representation on a wide range of immigration matters.

La Casa de Jenny’s mission is to serve as a navigation and case management center to aid recently migrated individuals to build towards self-sufficiency in their new homes.

La Familia is a community outreach nonprofit in the greater Bay Area, California. We provide services throughout Alameda and Contra Costa and Stanislaus counties, with a comprehensive selection of programs to meet a variety of mental health and community support needs.

The Latino Coordinating Center for a Tobacco-Free California (LCC) is a program of the California Health Collaborative (CHC) in partnership with the University of Southern California (USC), funded by the California Department of Public Health- California Tobacco Control Program.

Legal Aid at Work’s Workers’ Rights Clinic provides low-income and unemployed people with free, confidential information about their legal rights related to work in California including wage protection, working conditions, and unemployment benefits. They provide services in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, and other languages.

Free cell phone and service providers for low income individuals and families.

Maitri is a free, confidential, nonprofit organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area that primarily helps families and individuals from South Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives) facing domestic violence, emotional abuse, cultural alienation, or family conflict.

Newly arrived refugees are eligible for a free Refugee Health Assessment, which is a medical exam focused on preventing, screening, and treating communicable diseases and provides linkage to primary care.

MHACC is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise awareness of mental health within the Chinese community through advocacy, education, research, support, and services. We represent the wide spectrum of Chinese families and individuals affected by mental illness, and help them develop meaningful and productive lives in the future.

In recognizing the need for cultural and language specific mental health services in the Bay Area and the lack of multi-lingual speaking counselors, we created the Multi-lingual Counseling Center to serve the needs of our growing multi-lingual community. Our mission is to provide mental health services and treatment to individuals suffering from different mental health symptoms such as depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD and all other mental health diagnosis.

Muslim Community Center (MCC)- East Bay offers spiritual development and youth empowerment programs that aim to be fun and inspiring. We strive for a family-friendly environment encouraging modesty, creativity, and community involvement. We are responsive, forward-thinking, and an environmentally friendly and special-needs-friendly mosque.
